CreativeLive is seeking a project-based, highly analytical individual to join our team in San Francisco.  As our Business Operations Analyst you'll work directly with leaders across the organization to develop strategic frameworks and models for all business areas. The role entails driving business analytics insights to inform product, marketing and operations strategy, build automation, and enable senior leadership to make effective, analytically driven decisions.

We are looking for someone passionate about creativity, consumer and business products, analytics and the power of data insights to help drive innovation and growth of our education platform.  

This role is slated for 3-6 months, with the possibility of hire after the initial term.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our users, customers, and products and their impact on the business to help inform important decisions across the organization.
  • Work closely with Business Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance and Engineering teams to solve problems, identify trends, and define key metrics.
  • Work directly with executive leadership to help guide CreativeLive’s growth, monetization and operations strategy.
  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the CreativeLive’s business by effectively working with and clearly communicating results to cross functional groups.
  • Create Excel & Tableau dashboards & analyses that provide visibility into KPIs, marketing and product effectiveness, and business trends/drivers
  • Facilitate the use of statistical analyses on large data sets to provide actionable insights to product and marketing teams (such as A/B testing)
  • Assist with forecast models for revenue and other core business metrics that drive company-wide forecasting, goal-setting and planning. Provide regular updates to team leaders on these metrics and performance against goals.
  • Provide first rate analytic support via hands-on Excel work while leveraging other tools as necessary (SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Salesforce, Python) 

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis at an internet/tech company, investment bank, development program or in strategy consulting
  • B.S. or B.A. in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or other technical/statistical field
  • Quant & data skills: Working knowledge in various advanced analytical tools including Excel, Tableau and SQL on large data sets; Python & R is a plus
  • Exceptional problem solver with the ability to identify or understand complex business problems and transition between detailed data and high-level insights
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present analysis into recommendations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Independent thinker, self-starter
  • A passion for education and creativity 

 This role is slated for 3-6 months, with the possibility of hire after the initial term.
