Job Description

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, smart and energetic Sr. HR Business Partner for our EMEIA business units. You will sit on a functional leadership team and partner closely with leadership and team members on all people and organizational-related issues (including engagement, employee relations, workforce planning, onboarding, benefits, coaching, development, organizational development to name a few).

This Sr. People Business Partner will be responsible for the continued expansion of our EMEIA based in Dublin and will partner closely with the leaders on the ground to drive functional excellence. You will be a big part of shaping how Business Partners work within the EMEIA organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with the People team in the design and implementation of a variety of people programs that give leaders and team members leverage in executing effectively against their objectives.

Pluralsight is at an unprecedented moment in our growth as a company. The Business Partner Team will be at the forefront of designing People solutions that will propel us toward $1B in revenue globally by 2022. Ultimately, we are looking for a strategic people leader passionate about business impact – a people business partner who truly understands the strategic value HR has on delivering a business unit’s key objectives.

  • You are happy to think strategically and get in the weeds of the granular HR processes such as employee relations and all things People-related for the EMEIA team.

  • You are passionate about business impact; you are a business problem-solver that truly understands the strategic value the People org has on delivering a business unit’s key objectives.

  • You’re intensely curious and data driven about how the business works and performs and can take those insights to develop people programs that move the needle across the company

  • You are a creative problem solver who doesn’t rely simply on “best practices” of the standard HR playbook

  • You have high ownership and are comfortable building and creating from scratch

  • You are an amazing communicator and effective influencer. People trust and follow you.

  • You use data, empathy and good judgment to approach business and people problems

  • Can blend the balance of care for people and care for the cause seamlessly

Experience You Have:

  • 5+ years experience in a business partner function, preferably in a tech start-up environment in a business partner role, ideally supporting sales, marketing or other go-to-market teams (at least 2+ years in a “senior” BP capacity)

  • Deep commercial understanding and a willingness to share your experience and perspective

  • Ability to take business goals/priorities and translate them into initiatives

  • Consultative approach to strategic partnership

  • Able to combine great people intuition, business judgement and discretion in your decision-making

  • Proven experience in conflict resolution and management practices within a complex and matrixed environment

  • Experience providing business partnership and support to a diverse group of leaders and executives

  • Successful track record of implementing HR processes, employee resourcing performance management and change management

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal), exemplary client service skills, the ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities and adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment

  • Knowledge of HR compliance regulations, employment laws, and industry best practices

  • Team player with a sense of ownership and “get things done” attitude - self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment

  • Values and respects confidentiality

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Four-year degree or equivalent from an accredited university, highly desired
